URSULA MCGRATH, KNITWEAR DESIGNER
Ursula McGrath is a highly skilled, experienced and artistically creative knitwear designer who has worked in the wonderful world of wool/designing and knitting for over 25 years.
She started her design work with leading Irish brand Tivoli Spinners designing and writing knitting patterns along with designing/making high fashion ladies ready-to-wear knitwear.
Ursula has a natural passion and talent in Irish crafts with handknitting being her favourite.
Ursula has two knitwear collections in Passage West Creates. ‘Irish Dog Designs’ is a range of Irish handmade canine jackets and hats whilst ‘Irish Handknits by Ursula’ is her collection of handmade Aran hats, scarves and mitts.
Ursula’s designs are inspired by her love of our heritage Aran knits, our natural landscape and how we treasure our family. Ursula lives in East Cork with her family, hens, ducks, dogs and a very productive vegetable garden. Her knitwear is all hand knit in Cork.
